Louise Pasterfield is the founder of Sponge, a digital learning company in the UK that specialises in bespoke elearning solutions for global organisations that want to improve the performance of their employees. Since 2004, the company has addressed challenges such as onboarding and induction, sales and product knowledge, skills development and leadership and management, translating their courses in over 40 languages from around the world. Today, the company employs over 100 people and is one of the largest custom digital learning companies in Europe. In 2019, the company was acquired by Aliter Capital to grow and expand further.

Her interest is in how we can harness new technologies such as Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence in digital learning experiences and how effective it is in the acquisition of early literacy skills in young children. This project will shed light on their ability to learn and absorb information using these technologies and if this has any future implications for adult learners.
