To make the E39 ferry free, we have to cross wider and deeper fjords than any bridge or tunnel has done before. In this workpackage we explore the technology needed to build such bridges and tunnels. The structures must endure severe environmental conditions, allow for shipping traffic, and ensure the safety of travellers.
