Background and activities
I am a Ph.D. student at the department of economics working on environmental and natural resource economics. My main research areas include Age-structured modeling in natural resource economics, economic valuation of environmental goods and services as well as valuation of negative externalities from renewable energy (noise pollution, landscape aesthetics and biodiversity loss impacts).
I earned my MSc degree in Economics from Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) in 2018. My MSc thesis focused mainly on Willingness to pay (WTP) estimates to avoid blackouts and WTPs to avoid external costs of wind farms in Northern Ethiopia.
