Charuka Meegoda obtained his Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Civil Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2015. Following this, he pursued a Master's Degree in Environmental Engineering, focusing on using biosensors to determine contaminants in water, at Hokkaido University, Japan. After completing his Master's in 2018, he worked as a researcher at Hokkaido University. In August 2019, he started his Ph.D. at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) on managing Legionella in non-chlorinated water systems.
