Background and activities
I am a PhD-student in Educational Science at the Department of Teacher Educations mathematics section. My research involves number sense and the use of digital tools for students in their first year of school. I am a member of the research group Mathematical cognition and literacy.
Before working at NTNU I worked as a teacher for six years in primary school. I also have a master’s degree in special education with emphasis on mathematics difficulties. In my master thesis I wrote about upper secondary school- students experiences from being in mathematics difficulties. In my research I emphasize the importance of adapting possibilities for students in primary school to advance a solid and meaningful foundation in developing their mathematical competence.
