Background and activities
I am occupied with fiber optic sensors for solids detection from phase transitions, which is important in the optimalization of energy demanding industrial processes and prevent serious problems, e.g. in hydrogen storage and carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems. The interferometer based sensors are based on the evanescent field around the optical fiber, which probes the optical properties at the phase transition.
