Background and activities

As a postdoctoral fellow, I am involved in research projects in the field of hydropower, including variable-speed operation of hydro power plants, vibration analysis and fault diagnosis of hydro generators. My postdoc is funded by Norwegian Hydropower Centre (NVKS), and my supervisor is Prof. Arne Nysveen. 
 
In August 2015, I received my PhD degree from NTNU with the thesis entitled "Magnetic Forces and Vibration in Wind Power Generators". 
 
Before starting my PhD study at NTNU, I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical power engineering from  University of Tehran, Iran, in 2007 and 2010. The main focus of my research works at University of Tehran was on modeling and detection of eccentricity fault in electrical machines.
