About

Working as a university librarian and available for tailor-made courses, workshops and individual guidance for students or staff, especially for those within the humanities, social sciences and pedagogy. Send me an email.

I am the team leader for: The Team responsible for Humanities, Social Sciences and Educational Sciences, Architecture, Design and Economics (HUMSAMØKAD).

And I am a member of: Team KI, Team Teaching and Team Learning Support, at the University Library.

  • I teach about the use of artificial intelligence in higher education, academic writing and writing processes, literature searches, source criticism, source citation and plagiarism, supervision in higher education (especially related to guidance on writing).
  • Working alongside completing a doctorate in educational science. Working title is: "Text and writing in master's thesis supervision". The main goal is to contribute empirical and theoretical insight into how students and supervisors interact about text and writing in guidance on master's theses. Hear a little more about my project on this episode of the NOKUT-Podden: The one about writing guidance for master's students (Feb.22)
  • I have a master's degree in applied linguistics / Nordic linguistics: "Writing [...] is our whole business", A contextual analysis of writing in higher education. You can watch the available lecture I gave about parts of my master's thesis here.
  • I have a bachelor's degree, with a double specialization in linguistic communication, and Nordic language and literature (literary studies specialization), with an additional specialization in gender issues.
  • I am very interested in, and know a bit about, Norwegian sign language and the sign language/deaf community in Norway. I can make myself understood and understand some Norwegian sign language.

My academic interests are:
Academic/professional/scientific writing, writer's identity and writing processes.
Artificial intelligence and AI literacy.
Conversations, interaction and communication.
Teaching, pedagogy and learning - especially with regard to academic writing.
Sign language and sign language students.

Various other things I have done at the university:

Outreach

Responsvideo
