Background and activities

Research Interests

My research is on process control for optimized industrial production. I aim at developing smart systems that execute operational decisions to minimize cost, maximize profits, are energy efficient, and minimize environmental footprint. Also, improving the robustness of model-based control systems under uncertainty while increasing the computational efficiency.

Specific interests in: real-time optimization, dynamic optimization, model-predictive control, data-driven methods in process systems control, and thermal energy storage.
