Research centres

NTNU is involved in several long-term centres of excellence within the energy field, funded by the Norwegian Research Council´s program as Centres for Environmentally Friendly Energy (FME).

The research portfolio is developed in collaboration with several FME’s centres, where CenSES was the main contributor in the initial phase and FME NTRANS in the continuation.

NTNU Energy Transition aims to coordinate NTNUs activities on energy transition strategies between these centres and create joint meeting places and coordinated activities.

Collaboration

In addition to NTRANS, the NTNU Energy Transition Initiative collaborates with the following FME’s. Many of these include activities relevant for energy transition strategies.
