Dewatering and Food Engineering Laboratory
The Dewatering Laboratory has a large diversity of measuring devices and its facilities have a complete line of heat pump and conventional dryers, including:
- 4 heat pump fluidized bed dryers,
- 5 spray dryers
- 2 vacuum freeze dryers
- A very energy efficient 2-stage fluidized bed dryer with heat pump
- Atmospheric freeze dryers
- Dryers that operate in the range of –30 to +40 °
- Tunnel-shelf dryer for fish

The Food Engineering Laboratory consist of several temperature regulated rooms, a air blast tunnel and a number of different instrument such as Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC), a thermal calorimeter and Instron texture tester. Also a larger number of industrial food related equipment are placed in the laboratory (vacuum packaging machine, cutting devices, boilers, etc)
