NTNU European Conference 2018
Knowledge for a Better World: R&I Recipes for Inclusive, Sustainable Development
Brussels, Monday 26 November 2018
About the conference
Norway has strong academic partnerships in Europe. Three years ago, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology started a process to enhance our presence in Europe, aligned with our national R&D strategy. We want to share our expertise and contribute even more to the European research and education area.
The NTNU European Conference’s ambition is to establish and reinforce dialogue and collaboration between academia, research, businesses and policymakers.
The conference also aims to strengthen cooperation between NTNU and our alumni in Europe.
This year’s topic
This year’s conference draws inspiration from the current political landscape and developments in the R&D&I sectors in Europe. With society and sustainable development goals in focus, the conference explores three fundamental aspects for a healthy society: Democracy, Education and R&I through three parallel sesscions.
Part 1 has three sessions focused on:
1: How can research help safeguard democracy?
2: Autonomous Systems and AI
3: Quo vadis Erasmus? Status and future
Part 2 will focus on Horizon Europe novelties and future developments
