GENder and Physical-Hybrid-Digital working practices in academia (GEN-PHD project)

This project draws on qualitative, in‑depth interviews with 12 senior academics (associate professors and professors) in 6 different NTNU campuses and examines both the continuities and the changes in their remote‑working practices, with particular attention to gendered dynamics. Our published themes include a classic topic in Scandinavian feminist research: work–life balance and gender in the context of working from home. We have also explored the utopias and dystopias expressed by our informants regarding the future of the university and the role remote work may play in it.
