Neurodegenerative diseases

This focus area conducts research on diseases in which certain groups of nerve cells gradually die or change function. The best known diseases are dementia diseases, Parkinson's disease, Huntington's disease and motor neurone disease.

The focus area "Neurodegenerative diseases" is a collaboration between Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, Geriatric research group and Neurobiological Laboratory. This focus area also collaborates with the Center for Memory Biology (CMB).
