STERNA Resilience Engineering and Safety Management for Complex Socio-Technical Systems
The main objective of the STERNA project is to support and encourage high-level education in the areas of Resilience Engineering and Safety Management through cooperation between four Brazilian universities, NTNU, SINTEF and industrial partners. This week we have first visit from a Brazilian delegation from PUCRS and UFRGS Brazilian universities and PETROBRAS to NTNU and SINTEF. The delegation will collaborate and explore with different NTNU faculties and departments such as Faculty of Economics and Management and the Department of Industrial Economics and Technology Management (IØT) and SINTEF institutes such as SINTEF Digital, Petroleum and Technology and Society. Common topics of interest include: Resilience Engineering, Resilient performance, Performance Measurement Systems, HSE culture, Digital transformation, Knowledge management, Knowledge Engineering, Simulation and Visualization. Critical infrastructures addressed are construction, health care, aviation and petroleum. The project is collectively managed by Ivonne Herrera from NTNU and Tarcisio Saurim from UFRGS.
