Leo Lahti - NMC2020
Leo Lahti is associate professor in data science in University of Turku, Finland.
After obtaining PhD in machine learning and bioinformatics from Aalto University, Finland, in 2010, he specialized in human microbiome research during the postdoctoral period in Belgium and The Netherlands.
His research focuses on computational aspects of microbiome variation and health associations in large population studies. Lahti has organized international training events in microbiome bioinformatics, and is the Finnish coordinator of the COST action on statistical and machine learning methods in microbiome studies.
