Dr. Nadja B. Cech

Dr. Nadja B. Cech is Patricia A. Sullivan Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at UNC Greensboro.  Her research group focuses on developing and optimizing mass spectrometry metabolomics as a tool to study biologically active small molecules.  Recently, she has published a number of collaborative papers with Dr. Olav Kvalheim detailing strategies for identifying synergists in botanical mixtures.   Dr. Cech is recipient of the 2011 Jack L. Beal Award for Best Paper in the Journal of Natural Products by a Young Investigator, and the 2017 Thomas Norwood Award for Undergraduate Research Mentorship. She is a member of the research team for the National Institutes of Health Funded Center of Excellence for Natural Product Drug Interaction, and Co-Director of the Medicinal Chemistry Collaborative.
