The NTNU Railway catenary model is a laboratory model of a part of a railway catenary section. The model is 30 meters long with one support, and the current catenary system is System 20. All parts are easy to change, and all geometry are adjustable. The model is used to study different phenomena of catenary systems in closed environment and as an educational tool towards project- and master students. We wish to thank the Norwegian National Rail Administration for funding and mounting of the model.
