Research dissemination and popular science workshop, 4-5 June 2020

Research dissemination and popular science workshop, 4-5 June 2020

This course will be organized online. It means that you can sit at home to attend the workshop, but need to have good internet connections. Please, register on the link below.

Public-oriented dissemination is increasingly emphasized in research, and funding calls are emphasizing the importance of popular dissemination. Reaching out to both research peers and public is an important skill for any researcher.

Text on Facebook, blogs and articels etc., are increasingly gaining importance, also in a science setting. Learning to disseminate results by using right words is a valuable tool for any researcher interested in reaching out to both the public and to colleagues.

NRSGH now has the pleasure of inviting you to a two-day workshop (in English) online to learn more about dissemination of results. The workshop will take place online 4 – 5 June and open for NRSGH members.

The workshop will be led by Nina Kristensen, chief editor, and Ulla G. Schjølberg from forskning.no. Forskning.no is the leading online research newspaper in Norway and the most important channel for publishing popular science and science news.

The two will launch you through two-half days filled with hints and tips about public dissemination. They will offer supervision and advice after the workshop in order for all participants to reach the ultimate goal: making a popular text about your research, ready to be shared via Facebook, blog etc.

This is a great opportunity to enhance your skills in public dissemination and we highly recommended our members to participate.
