Knowledge for the benefit of children and youth

RKBU Central Norway shall be a joint research and development centre that addresses issues related to the mental health, care, development and service needs for the children and young people in the region. The Centre shall generate positive synergies in relation to the end-users, municipalities, specialised services and second line services in the child welfare services.

Through interdisciplinary and practice-relevant research, the Centre will contribute to improve the quality in services offered to children and young people's mental health and care. The Centre's competency are spread through teaching, development and dissemination.

RKBU Central Norway is a part of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and Department of Mental Health at NTNU. The Centre is located in the Øya area in Trondheim and has about 65 employees.
