The Department of Social Anthropology conducts social anthropological research and offers education in African Studies and Social Anthropology. Social Anthropology is the comparative study of culture and society. The starting point of the discipline is the cultural diversity in the world, and anthropologists study the social processes that produce, change and maintain this diversity.
