Would you like to get involved in making everyday life easier? Automatic systems help to control all kinds of products and production systems. Automation engineering is a future-oriented course of study that offers you many exciting career opportunities.
You will learn how you can use a computer to measure temperature and speed, to develop control systems, and to instrument machines and processes. You will develop an understanding of both computer science and mechanical systems. You will become an engineer with a wide range of skills, able to adapt to many types of industry.

You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to apply to any of NTNU's degree programmes. You also must meet the basic requirement for admission, and demonstrate that you meet the English language requirements.
The application deadline for the programme is March 1st for students with an international degree, and April 15th for Norwegian and Nordic degree students. Students apply through Samordna Opptak.
