Bachelor's degree programme, 3 years

Nursing

The Bachelor in Nursing programme is a full-time course of study with a total of 180 ECTS credits over 3 years, equally divided between theoretical and clinical studies. The programme leads to a Bachelor in Nursing degree and qualifies for authorisation as a general nurse in Norway. The programme is regulated by National Curriculum Standards (2008). The faculty maintains a close relationship with the health- and care services in the Sunnmøre area.

A nurse works with people of all ages during all life stages, and has many employment opportunities in Norway and internationally. Nursing, care and treatment are the cornerstones of a nurse`s competence. The demand for qualified nurses is increasing, as the health- and care services are facing major challenges in the future. Through the Bachelor in Nursing programme the student will obtain theoretical knowledge and clinical skills that qualify for professional nursing.

For more information see the Norwegian pages for this programme of study.
