NOTE: All students must have preregistered application online at https://www.udi.no/en/ by August 1st.

You must bring
*print-out of application form, and
*the required  attachments on paper (both copies and originals), and
*a valid passport in original
(EU citizens may bring a national ID card in original instead of a passport).

Students who register this day must not book an appointment for registration online.

 

When getting back to campus:

stop by the photo automat at B2 to register and take picture for student ID-card
Student ID-card can be picked up at the front desk 2-3 days after photo has been taken.

Matriculation Ceremony 15. August

The Matriculation Ceremony for all new students, takes place on 15. August at 11:00 in the main building. Make sure you are there in time, the doors are open from 09:00.

About Simulation and Visualization

Become an expert in methods in artificial intelligence, swarm intelligence, machine learning and Monte Carlo-simulation for use in your field of expertise. Some experience with programming is recommended.


Job prospects

Simulation and visualization are used in many different contexts, and the application areas are experiencing rapid growth. Job opportunities are dependent on your background and your specialization within the Master's program in Simulation and Visualization. The program is relevant for jobs in all businesses and public organizations using simulation, which can / should use simulation, or that develop simulation methods or simulators. The study forms the basis for further PhD studies at NTNU.


Admission requirements

The admission requirement is a Bachelor´s degree in engineering or equivalent. There is also a requirement for a major in mathematics from the Bachelor´s degree, equivalent to 30 ECTS. Applicants with 20 credits in mathematics may also apply.
