Block registration at the local immigration office

Please fllow the instructions and bring the documents listed below:
A) Non-EU/EEA citizens:
Visa application must be in order before arrival, please follow the instructions in your visa letter.
Documents to bring:
- Confirmation of visa/residence permit received from the Norwegian immigration authorities
- Original passport
- If you have previously stayed in Norway, bring your residence card
- Housing contract (with complete address in Norway)
B) EU/EEA citizens staying over 3 months:
You must have pre-registered at the immigration authorities' self-service portal before arriving in Norway (not necessary if you stay less than 3 months): Want to apply - UDI - enter your nationality and follow the stepds, category "Students who are EU/EEA nationals"
Documents to bring:
- Print-out of your UDI registration
- Original passport or national ID card
- Admission letter from NTNU
- European health insurance card - or other health insurance certificate
- Personal statement that you have enough money to support yourself
- Housing contract (with complete address in Norway)
Important: students who meet for immigration registration on 15 August don't have to book an appointment online
After the immigration registration, students return to campus to join the student volunteering day (optional).
Many different student organizations will be present on campus to showcase the variety of activities, causes and organizations you can engage with at NTNU.
Representatives from certain services at NTNU and Sit, such as the Office of International Relations, will also be present.
There are no lectures on this day.

During the Orientation week, you will get to know NTNU, your city and other international students in fun ways, and learn everything you need to know to get started in Norway and settle in at NTNU. The Office of International Relations arranges the orientation week.
You can easily get to campus by public transport:

NTNU has various part-time classes to help you learn Norwegian as a second language, including a free online course.
Exchange students can join a 3-week intensive summer course in August.
