Drama and Theatre - One-Year Programme

The language of instruction in this programme is Norwegian. Read more about the programme on the Norwegian website

Drama and Theatre embraces a variety of expressions based on acting and playing.

In the one-year programme in Drama and Theatre, students will study these expressions as means of communication and experiential objects, their past and present roles in society and culture, and how they shape and disseminate meaning.

The drama and theatre study at NTNU has a practical-theoretical approach to the discipline. The course of study has a historical and a contemporary basis, and important sources are dramatic texts, performances and productions, as well as practical experiences from the artistic, pedagogical, ritual and therapeutic fields.
