By working with Spanish texts, students are provides with basic knowledge of the history, political structure and culture of the Spanish speaking world. The one-year study programme in Spanish does not require any previous knowledge of Spanish.
The one-year study programme is primarily intended for students of the five-year Teacher Eductation Programme with a master's degree in languages who wish to include the one-year programme in Spanish as part of their degree. Spanish can also enter into three-year bachelor's degrees.
The instruction is based on lectures and group work/tutorials. The course of study has rapid progression. Thus, students are recommended to actively participate in the lessons.
