Spanish - One-Year Programme
The one-year study programme in Spanish aims to provide students with the required language competence for teaching Spanish at primary and secondary school.
The one-year study programme in Spanish provides a thorough introduction to the Spanish language system in terms of structure. Linguistic differences between Norwegian and Spanish is emphasized. Oral and written language proficiency are important aspects in the course of study.
By working with Spanish texts, students are provides with basic knowledge of the history, political structure and culture of the Spanish speaking world. The one-year study programme in Spanish does not require any previous knowledge of Spanish.
The one-year study programme is primarily intended for students of the five-year Teacher Education Programme with a master's degree in languages who wish to include the one-year programme in Spanish as part of their degree. Spanish can also enter into three-year bachelor's degrees.
The instruction is based on lectures and group work/tutorials. The course of study has rapid progression. Thus, students are recommended to actively participate in the lessons.
The language of instruction in this programme is Norwegian
You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to apply to any of NTNU’s degree programmes taught in Norwegian.
You also must meet the basic requirement for admission, and demonstrate that you meet the English language requirements.
The application deadline for the programme is April 15th. Students apply through Samordna Opptak.
