Welcome programme Sunday 15 March*
09:00 Registration at NTNU, G-building: Teknologivegen 22, Gjøvik.
09:10 Presentation of NTNU and practicalities concerning the Athens course
10:45 We take the bus to "Vind stadium". Possibilities to try the national sport in Norway – cross-country skiing. Remember to wear warm clothes and shoes so you can spend time outside in the snow.
13:00ish Light meal outside

Monday 16 March
Introduction to the course programme, introduction to colour management. Coffee break with other international students in Gjøvik at 14:00!
Tuesday 17 March
Introduction to image quality and colorimetry.
Wedneday 18 March
Site visit: Canon, Oslo. Full-day programme, possibility of spending the evening in Oslo.
Thursday 19 March
In the morning, a workshop organised by Forum Farge ("Colour forum") in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science and the Norwegian Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
Location: Lecture room K102
Afternoon: Four different lab sessions in the Colourlab covering different subjects.
Friday 20 March
Introduction to spectral imaging.
13:00: Final exam.

Arrival and departure
To be able to participate in the Welcome Programme you should arrive in Gjøvik no later than Saturday 14 March. Your exam will be on Friday 20 March from 13:15–15:00, so please keep this in mind when booking your return trip.
Gjøvik Vandrerhjem (hostel) is prebooked from 14 to 21 March. The price is at the hostel is approximately NOK 300–400 per night, depending on how many people share a room (including breakfast and bedlinen).
Contact the hostel per phone (+47 61171011) or e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) and give the reference ATHENS. Please do this no later than the 10th of March!
You can pay on-site using a credit card or by cash.
Getting to Gjøvik
Take the from Oslo airport (OSL) to Gjøvik (we do not recommend other airports due to their distance from Gjøvik). If you are arriving to Oslo e.g. by train, there is a rail service from Oslo Central Station to Gjøvik.

Our student assistants will help you get from the station to the accommodation.
Wednesday 18 March the group will visit Canon* in Oslo. All participants will need to cover the expenses related to travel. See vy.no for rail fare (student discount). Approximate cost for a return trip + public transport in Oslo: NOK 600.
