Course content

The subject provides an insight into various theories about assessment and language teaching and how assessment can promote learning. The subject presents various approaches to assessment and language learning. The module also includes assessment from a digital perspective.

Learning outcome

The student has
• a general perspective over mandatory national directives for assessment and learning and can interpret and apply such directives
• knowledge of the interrelationship between national and international work in the field
• knowledge of national and international research on assessment and learning in an educational political context
• insight into how the pupils’ fundamental skills in the subject can be developed based on research and theories about teaching methods, planning, manner of working and forms of assessment
• skills in planning, carrying out and assessing teaching in accordance with current curricula and mandatory directives
• competence in research, development and communication
• skills in academic writing and academic reading

  • 2-4 approved written assignments and presentations
