Course content
This course will focus on how media content and format influence people's political behaviour, meaning their knowledge concerning political issue, their will and ability to participate in politics and their political preferences. The course gives a presentation of and an in-depth study of some of the central models in electoral research, research on political participation, research on short-term and long-term media influence.
Learning outcome
Knowledge - the student shall:
- have knowledge of and understand the central models in the area of political behaviour and political communication
Skills - the student shall:
- be trained and tested in their ability to give a presentation of a research question related to central research questions in the area of political behaviour and political communication
Learning methods and activities
4 hours of lectures per week in the first half of the semester.

Assessment: 5 days home exam in week 9. Length of paper: 3000-5000 words.
