About the course
Course content
This course is about what shapes people's political behaviour, such as their knowledge concerning political issues, their interest and ability to participate in politics and their political preferences. The course gives an in-depth study of some of the key models in electoral research, research on political participation, and research on short-term and long-term media influence.
Learning outcome
Knowledge - the student shall:
- have knowledge of and understand the central models in the area of political behaviour and political communication
Skills - the student shall:
- be trained and tested in their ability to give a presentation of a research question related to central research questions in the area of political behaviour and political communication
Learning methods and activities
4 hours of lectures per week in the first half of the semester.
