Course content

Ethics; how to assess economic goals and needs between generations? The notion of sustainable development. Environmental regulation – when and how? Optimal pollution control. Efficient utilisation of the environment. The theory on optimal management and use of renewable and non-renewable natural resources. Valuation of the environment. International environmental agreements.

Learning methods and activities

Lectures and practical assignments. Compulsory activity: 1 approved term paper.
