About the course

Course content

The course analyzes how perspectives from economics and can be applied to study political decision-making processes.

Learning outcome

The purpose is to give students knowledge on theories and models in political economy, and how these can be applied to specific topics such as political business cycles, budget deficits, taxes and public spending.

Learning methods and activities

2 hour of lectures every week and 2 hours of exercises every second week. Compulsory acticity: One approved term paper. The term paper can be written as a joint project by up to four students.
