About the course
Course content
The course offers advanced analyses of trade issues and covers some economic challenges for a small open economy. New topics within international trade as well as economic geography are central in the course.
Learning outcome
The students should know the main contributions within different fields of international economy. They should be able to understand likely implications for Norway of changes in the world economy. In addition, they should be able to analyse pros and cons of different trade policies.
Learning methods and activities
4 hours of lectures every week. One compulsory term paper. The course can be taught in English when there are English-speaking students who meet the recommended previous knowledge.
