About the course
Course content
The course provides an introduction to organisational theory from av structural approach, human resource approach and change management. The students will also get some training and insight in teamwork. The course will also cover jurudical aspects. Introduction in social science methods.
Learning outcome
The course will give an introduction to organizational theory. It will provide an understanding of organizing companies, including a multiperspective analysis emphasizing organizational structures, management and juruducal aspects of organizations.
Learning methods and activities
Lectures and written exercises. There will be an obligatory excursion with company visit during the semester. The excercises are compulsory and done in groups. Portfolio assessment is the basis for the grade in the course. The portfolio includes a final written exam (60%) and exercises (40%). The results for the parts are given in %-scores, while the entire portfolio is assigned a letter grade. If there is a re-sit examination, the examination form may change from written to oral.

Recommended previous knowledge
The course is obligatory for all students at Industrial Economics and Technology Management.
