About the course
Course content
Students' choice of specialization and project must be approved by the department within the semester preceding its completion. A list of suggestions for specific projects will be distributed in the spring semester before the specialization is chosen. Certain project suggestions may require specific courses to be taken in the 4th year of study.
Learning outcome
The learning objectives of the specialisation is to enable students to analyse and solve challenges related to purchasing and supply management (including logistics) of companies and organisations, with a special focus on the strategic challenges of the supply chain. Students are expected to be familiar with the relevant literature of the field and be able to solve practical management challenges through application of a scientific and credible method.
Learning methods and activities
Independent work under supervision. The finished work is to be presented in a written paper which will be evaluated by academic criteria. Students may work alone or in groups of up to three persons.
Recommended previous knowledge
Students must also take the course TIØ4566 Strategic Purchasing and Supply Management, Specialization Course.
