About the course

Course content

The course comprises advanced topics within field of expertise like life cycle management, optimisation and machine learning as part of digital building processes. Topics included are future risks and possibilities (climate change etc), new building concepts (i.e circularity), advanced and innovative solutions, systems and processes.

Learning outcome

Knowlegde: After the course the students should have an in-depth understanding for selected topics as support for digital building processes, with life cycle process. The students should have gained knowledge on the process on how to do optimise construction scheduling, sustainability, circularity, with supporting by digtial information and tools.

Skills:The students should be able to do some programming, choose and use appropriate methods for simulations or analysis of various important aspects such as project planning, CO2 emissions, etc.

General competence: The students should learn to read scientific articles, and thereby orientate themselves regarding the relevant scientific front. They shall gain experience on how to reach the goal of project through different methods and digital support. They shall learn use various tools to present the results of analysis and optimisation.

Learning methods and activities

The course will be given through seminars which require active participation. Each student shall have 3 assingments of which all have to be accepted before access to the exam is granted, In addition, there is supervised self-study, where the students works with a project of recommended. The seminars and supervision will be in English.

Further on evaluation

The grades are set based on delivered project report. If failed, new report has to be delivered according to agreement with course coordinator. The report shall be in English.

To have access to the exam, three assignment shall be approved
