Humanities - Modular Courses

One-Year Programme

 

A one-year programme in the Humanities can take different forms:

  • Elective courses from across the spectrum of disciplines, based on individual preference
  • Elective courses within a specific field
  • A specified combination of courses that fulfils the requirements of a one-year programme of study within a particular discipline, with the aim of qualifying as a teacher within that specific discipline

Admission

The language of instruction in this programme is Norwegian

You have to meet the Norwegian language requirements, or have a Scandinavian language as your mother tongue, if you want to apply to any of NTNU’s degree programmes taught in Norwegian.

You also must meet the basic requirement for admission, and demonstrate that you meet the English language requirements.

The application deadline for the programme is April 15th. Students apply through Samordna Opptak.


The faculty of Humanities offer a wide range of courses taught in English in our various fields of studies, both at bachelor's and master's level.

The majority of the courses can be found using course search:

Online Course Catalogue

  • Bachelor's level courses are numbered 1000-2999
  • Master's level courses are numbered 3000-5500
