Graduates of the Masters programme in Biology will be internationally qualified for a wide range of positions including:

  • Public and government institutions, e.g. directorates in counties and municipalities, or in various ministries
  • Researcher or adviser in consultancy agencies
  • Environmental research institutes and industries
  • Teaching in various institutions
    • If you take one year of practical pedagogy, you will also be qualified to teach in secondary schools. 
  • PhD/Research at NTNU or another Norwegian or international institution.

Paid education: With a degree in MSc in Biology you can choose among the different PhD programmes offered by the Faculty of natural sciences and technology.

The PhD programmes educate independent scientists on an international level in cooperation with both national and international research environments.
