Communication Technology

The Master of Science in Communication Technology is a two-year full-time programme of study (120 ECTS). Each study year is divided in two semesters.

 

After the first year, the students must choose a specialization among:

  • Networks, services and applications
  • Information security

The first year is common for all. It includes seven technical courses and an interdisciplinary project (Experts in teamwork).

2nd year

The second year consists of courses specific to the chosen specialization. It includes a specialization project (7,5 ECTS) and a master's thesis (30 ECTS) which are conducted in close cooperation with a faculty member. The topic is usually connected to a research activity at the Department of Information Security and Communication Technology, but there are also good opportunities to write a specialization project and master's thesis in collaboration with external companies or research institutes.
