In November 2019 NTNU and PAN installed an Acoustic emission, a CO2 and a particles detection system in each stave church:

In March 2019 NTNU and PAN installed 3 data loggers in each stave church for the monitoring of temperature and relative humidity conditions

February 2019 - The PhD candidate Ashley Freeman (NTNU) published a contribution on the SyMBoL Project in the ICOM-CC Scientific Research Working Group Newsletter (vol1, N.1)

November 2019 - The NRK 1, the main channel of the Norwegian State TV Norsk Rikskringkasting has released the 7th of November 2019 a television Report on SyMBoL: Klimaprosjekt i Ringebu og Heddal stavkirker.
