Shereen Zorba

Shereen Zorba is an international diplomat, policy strategist, and thought leader with more than two decades of experience at the intersection of political economy, security, and sustainable development. She has served in senior leadership roles within the United Nations system, most notably as Executive Secretary of the United Nations Science-Policy-Business Forum on the Environment, where she has led global, multi-stakeholder platforms advancing evidence-based decision-making on climate change, energy transitions, biodiversity, digital transformation, and environmental governance.  Shereen assumed senior roles in high-intensity UN peacekeeping operations, political negotiations and humanitarian affairs. 

Her work focuses on translating complex scientific, geopolitical and technological insights into actionable policy and investment frameworks, with a particular emphasis on emerging economies, peace and security,  and system-level transformation. She has been instrumental in shaping high-level international dialogues, ministerial processes, and partnerships involving governments, multilateral institutions, industry, and the scientific community, including major UN summits and Conferences of the Parties.

Trained as a political communicator and economist with a strong grounding in international trade, digital economy, and design-driven innovation, Shereen Zorba is widely recognized for her analytical rigor, strategic clarity, and uncompromising commitment to institutional integrity and accountability. 
She has authored and overseen influential policy contributions, and peer-reviewed scientific sources, and is a frequent advisor and speaker on governance reform, economic transformation, transparency and the future of multilateral cooperation.

Her work is characterized by a forward-looking, systems-oriented approach that challenges entrenched practices and seeks to align global governance with the realities of a changing world.
