Roma Tre University
Founded in 1992, the University of Rome Tre is a dynamic institution that has rapidly grown in student population and academic offerings, earning excellent ratings in international rankings among newer universities. It has played a vital role in Rome’s urban renewal by transforming disused industrial sites into hubs of knowledge and research.
Its core values encompass furthering cross-national collaboration, delivering high-quality education, promoting environmental sustainability and gender equality, and fostering merit-based evaluation. Committed to its “third mission,” Roma Tre University actively engages in technology transfer and community development, thereby addressing today’s multifaceted challenges. With a strong international focus, it upholds the principles of the Magna Charta Universitatum and enacts the standards of the European Higher Education and Research Area. The Department of Education (DSF) significantly contributes to advancing educational contents and methodologies through cross-cutting research, teaching, and learning across various societal dimensions. Some of its key objectives are: - enriching existing cognitive and disciplinary framework with historical-theoretical insights and empirical applications for a better understanding of socio-educational processes; - expanding local, national, and international engagement through comparative and in-depth studies across diverse contexts; - embracing fertilisation among different disciplines to analyse cognitive, affective, and socio-relational dynamics in a globalised world; - Leveraging technology for enhanced decision-making, information sharing, and teaching practices.
DSF is home to a distinguished faculty of 94 professors - 31 full, 36 associates, and 27 researchers - whose interdisciplinary expertise drives innovation in education and training. Collaboration with national and international research centres further strengthens the Department’s impact and reach.

REDU aims to promote social solidarity. The association also promotes HRE in Italy and abroad to contribute to the active development of responsible citizenship and a culture of peace. In coherence with its aims, REDU organises activities to promote HRE and HR culture in Italy and abroad. The activities aim to contribute to the active development of responsible citizenship and a culture of peace.
REDU Activities:
REDU has been active informally since 2001, promoting a culture of human rights through local and national training courses, seminars, and the creation of educational and pedagogical materials and tools.
REDU board members were very active in coordinating the participative translation procedure of the Compass manual (1st version and 2nd version in 2018), its promotion and dissemination in Italy.
Staff members were also involved in the testing phase of Compasito manual, offering an important contribution for its revision and edition.
REDU has organised national and international trainings course on human rights and human rights education, with a special focus on personal development as one of the main factors for change. In REDU is promotor of the workshops in Secondary Schools in the NO HATE SPEECH, Human Rights, citizenship and intercultural aim.
Since 2016, REDU is a promoter in international projects in the Erasmus+ programe, Just, CERV and Youth programe.
Numerous publications have been created by these European projects that are useful educational and teaching tools for human rights education.
University of Skhoder
University of Shkodra is one of the most important institutions and the biggest centre of education, scientific research and culture of Northern Albania. It was first established as High Pedagogical Institute on 18.04.1957. The High Pedagogical Institute' status changed into University of Shkodra, "Luigj Gurakuqi" by the Ministers' Council decree Nr 124, on 28.05.1991.
Now the University of Shkodra has 6 Faculties and 22 Departments and offers the following 73 study programs in different fields of study. 5350 students attend their studies at the University of Shkodra.
The Department of Psychology and Social Work (DPSW) is part of the Faculty of Educational Sciences. It has an academic full-time staff of 12 professors, lecturers and assistant lectures in psychology, social work and sociology.
The mission of DPSW is to educate social workers and psychologists with necessary theoretical background and skills for social work and psychological practice.
DPSW offers two bachelor programs: in Social Work, and in Psychology; a professional Master in Social Services, and two Master of Sciences programs: Organizational Psychology and Clinical Psychology.
The bachelor program in Social Work, established in 2005, is a first cycle degree (3 years) in accordance with Bologna process.
Norwegian University of science and Technology
Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU, is an internationally oriented university, headquartered in Trondheim and with campuses in Gjøvik and Ålesund. The university's roots go back to 1760, when the foundation of Det Trondhiemske Selskab (Trondheim Academy) was founded. A merger in 2016 made NTNU Norway's largest university, with 390 study programs, 43,550 students, and nearly 9,000 employees.
NTNU's main profile is in science and technology, and it offers a variety of programs of professional study and a great academic breadth that also includes the humanities, social sciences, economics, medicine, health sciences, educational science, architecture, entrepreneurship, art disciplines, and artistic activities.
The Department of Social Work has some 70 employees who together make up a large, interdisciplinary academic environment with broad expertise in child welfare, social work, and disability. The Department hosts several research-based study programs at the Bachelor, Master, and PhD levels in social work, child welfare, and disability.
University of Granada
The University of Granada (UGR), founded in 1531 by Emperor Charles V, is a public university in Granada, near the Sierra Nevada and Mediterranean coast. It has a rich history dating back to the Nasrid dynasty's madrasahs. The UGR has grown alongside the city, and It has 25 educational centers distributed across seven campuses located on two continents (Europe and Africa) and in three cities (Granada, Ceuta, and Melilla).
It maintains strong ties with Latin American institutions, acting as a bridge between Europe and Latin America, as well as North Africa. The UGR enriches Granada culturally and conserves historic buildings like "La Madraza" and "Hospital Real." It is Spain's 4th largest university, contributing to Granada's vibrant atmosphere. Internationally recognized for its quality, the UGR ranks 4th in Spain and among the top 300 globally (ARWU 2019). The UGR offers 89 bachelor's degrees, over 100 master's degrees, and 28 doctoral programs. It leads in international student exchanges, with 2,600 exchange students from more than 70+ countries. The UGR is a founding member of the Coimbra Group and part of several prestigious international networks.
The Department of Social Work at the University of Granada (UGR) offers a robust academic and research environment dedicated to the advancement of social well-being and justice. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the department provides comprehensive training in social intervention, policy analysis, and community development, preparing students to address complex social issues in both local and global contexts. With a strong emphasis on ethical practice, human rights, and social inclusion, the department fosters critical thinking, applied research, and civic engagement.
This Department is composed of 30 faculty members who teach in four undergraduate programs: Social Work, Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminology. At the postgraduate level, the department is involved in eight official Master's programs.
