The Norwegian Cyber Range is an arena for testing, training and practice in cyber security. In the Norwegian Cyber Range, users and systems will be exposed to realistic incidents in a safe environment. Society's vulnerability to cyber threats is increasing. The need to educate and train security personnel and increase awareness in businesses and among the population is therefore great.
The Norwegian Cyber Range as an arena will provide better, more realistic education, training, exercises, testing and research in the cyber domain. It will quickly adapt to new technology, research and threats and thus reflect the needs of both private companies, public enterprises and society as a whole. The community level mirrors community functions and simulates the impact of cyber incidents with possible chain reactions and the consequences for different parts of society. Such models can be limited to a single business, but can also be extended to a region or nation as a whole, depending on the scenario.
