Magnus Nakrem Lyngbakken

Magnus Nakrem Lyngbakken is a postdoctoral fellow at the K. G. Jebsen Center for Cardiac Biomarkers (UiO) and associate professor at Campus Akershus University Hospital, Institute of Clinical Medicine (UiO). He has background as a medical doctor from NTNU (2011) and completed his PhD at UiO (2017) focusing on the use of cardiac troponins in cardiovascular risk prediction. As a postdoctoral researcher, he has worked extensively on cardiac biomarkers in various population and patient cohorts, as well as on pragmatic randomized clinical trials in cardiology and infectious disease. His work aims to establish cardiac biomarker-guided precision medicine in the general population and in high-risk patients.

Lyngbakken is work package leader of cardiac troponin epidemiology and subclinical myocardial injury in the K. G. Jebsen Center for Cardiac Biomarkers (UiO).
