About the Conference

About the Conference

This INALCO 2026 conference provides a unique opportunity to bring together people from academia, industry and public sector for a three-day aluminium conference, having key-note speakers, workshops, technical sessions on recent research results, education activities, industry tours, posters, and not at least informal mingling and discussions. The INALCO 15th in Quebec City had attendees from more than 30 countries, representing all the continents, and with about 90 papers and expert presentations.

We aim to continue this international outreach and academic quality
– targeting the following main tracks:

  • Welding and joining
  • Large structures
  • Novel forming methods
  • Manufacturing & re-manufacturing
  • Recycling-friendly alloys and circularity
  • Modelling and digital frameworks
  • Innovative applications
  • Surface and tribology
  • Alloy design & Characterization

Previous Conferences

The first international conference on welded products and constructions with aluminium alloys was held in Cleveland (USA) in 1979. It became established as INALCO at the 2nd conference in Munich in Germany in 1982. Since then, conferences have been held every three years in different venues all over the world (except for the 15th edition due to the COVID disease). The latest editions were held in Osaka (Japan, 2007), Eindhoven (The Netherlands, 2010), Montréal (Canada, 2013), Naples (Italy, 2016), Tokyo (Japan, 2019), and Quebec City (Canada, 2023).
