Mari Nordbø Gynnild
Mari Nordbø Gynnild is a researcher at the K. G. Jebsen Center for Cardiac Biomarkers (UiO), Institute of Clinical Medicine (UiO) and clinician at the Clinic of Cardiology, St. Olavs University Hospital. She has background as a medical doctor from NTNU (2013) and holds a PhD from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU, 2022) in collaboration with the University Medical Center Utrecht. She is a postdoctoral researcher in the randomized controlled PRevention of cArdiac Dysfunction during Adjuvant breast cancer therapy (PRADA II) trial. Her research focuses on cardiovascular risk prediction, prevention, cardio-oncology and echocardiography.
She is involved in national and international risk prediction projects, including collaborations with the HUNT Study and other large-scale cohorts, with a particular emphasis external validation and comparison of guideline-recommended cardiovascular risk prediction tools, as well as tailoring models to new settings and investigating whether models can be extended by addition of new predictors.
