Information for oral presentations

Information for those who will give oral presentations

Preparation of your talk

  • There is no conference template for the slides
  • ppt files are our preferred format
  • Overhead format: 16:9 (landscape)
  • Length of talk:
    • Standard oral: 15 minutes talk + 5 minutes for questions and change of speaker (in total 20 minutes)
    • Short oral: 7 minutes talk + 3 minutes for questions and change of speaker (in total 10 minutes)
  • Submit your talk to EuropaCat 2025 at least the day before your talk.
  • We will be receiving a lot of presentation slides. To prevent losing your slides, it is very important that you name your slides using this naming convention:

D#-S#-T##(session number)_ #### (abstract number)_Author last name

Example.: D4-S1-T03 _1603_Smith

Session numbers can be found in the Program book  given above, pages 21-59. Use Ctrl+F and add your abstract number to find your session.

At the Congres

  • Please arrive early and familiarize yourself with the venue. Locate your designated session room well in advance of your presentation.
  • All speakers and session chairs are required to be in the session room at least 10 minutes before the session begins.
  • Upon arrival, inform both the session chairs and the technical staff of your presence.
  • You will receive a microphone headset from the technicians while the speaker before you is presenting.
  • Wait next to the chair’s desk as soon as the previous speaker concludes their talk and the Q&A begins.
  • It is important to adhere to the allocated time for your presentation. You will receive a warning shortly before your time ends.
