Cross Atlantic Hydropower research cooperation

Cross Atlantic Hydropower Research Alliance

In February 2020 Norway and USA signed an agreement to cooperate on hydropower research. Researchers from both countries, as well as the EU, work together aiming to develop technology and methods that can realize hydropowers capacity to be a key enabler for a stable renewable energy system.

Researchers have identified specific research topics that are particularly relevant for cooperation across the Atlantic.

  • Environmental conditions
  • Technological Challenges
  • Hydropower Optimization
