On 4 May, SFI NICE – the Norwegian Centre for Intelligent Computers and Electronics was officially opened at NTNU, gathering partners from academia and industry to mark the start of the center’s work on developing technologies for more energy-efficient artificial intelligence and electronic systems.

The programme included remarks from Pro-Rector for Research and Innovation Toril Nagelhus Hernes, Minister of Digitalisation and Public Governance Karianne Tung, Center Director Magnus Jahre, and Dean Thomas Tybell. Karianne Tung also carried out the official opening by symbolically cutting a cable.
