A Warm Welcome to Oslo

We are pleased to invite all ECCM22 participants to the Welcome Reception — the opening event of the conference’s social programme. Join your fellow delegates on the first evening for welcome drinks, light snacks, and relaxed networking before the scientific programme begins.

About the Venue

The reception takes place in the Congress Hall at Oslo Kongressenter — the conference venue — so no transport is needed. Arrive, collect your badge at the registration desk, and start the week by meeting colleagues old and new in a relaxed setting.

Practical Information

An Evening for Young Researchers

We are pleased to invite PhD students and early-career researchers attending ECCM22 to a dedicated evening of pizza, drinks, and informal networking. Take a break from the scientific programme and connect with peers from across Europe in a relaxed, social setting in the heart of Oslo.

YNG Bar & Social is located at Youngstorget, just a few minutes’ walk from Oslo Kongressenter, in the heart of central Oslo. Its relaxed bar atmosphere is the perfect place to unwind and socialise with fellow young researchers after a full day of sessions.

An Evening of Celebration

We are delighted to invite all ECCM22 participants to the Conference Gala Dinner, a highlight of the social programme. Join your fellow delegates for an elegant evening of fine dining, networking, and celebration at the heart of Oslo.

Dietary Requirements

Oslo Kongressenter is experienced in catering for a wide range of dietary needs. If you have any allergies, intolerances, or dietary preferences (vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, gluten-free, etc.), please indicate this during registration. Requests must be submitted by the registration deadline of 18 May 2026 to allow the kitchen team adequate preparation time.

Entry Requirements

You must have a valid gala dinner ticket purchased through the registration system.
Accompanying persons who wish to attend must purchase a separate gala dinner ticket during registration.
